Reducing waste is another key aspect of our sustainability efforts. We’ve eliminated single-use plastics wherever possible, opting for reusable materials and eco-friendly alternatives. To further support waste reduction, we offer a refill station for our clients, allowing them to bring back their empty product bottles and refill them with their favorite OWAY products and receive 15% off! This initiative helps to reduce packaging waste and encourages a more sustainable approach to hair care.

Our towels are laundered using non-toxic detergents, and we compost or recycle nearly everything—from hair clippings to product packaging.

We’re proud to give a second life to materials that might otherwise end up in landfills. Our OWAY CONO, for example, is a perfect illustration of this commitment. By using recycled OWAY glass bottles, the CONO serves as a self-watering system for plants, reducing waste while nurturing nature. Additionally, we offer free used amber bottles and jars for clients to upcycle. These can be repurposed for homemade body butters, scrubs, candles, or spray bottles for room scents or essential oil perfumes. They are also perfect for beautifully displaying shampoo and conditioner in your bathroom or as body soap dispensers.

Sustainable Packaging Solutions

We choose products with eco-friendly packaging and encourage our clients to return their empty containers for proper recycling. Through partnerships with Green Circle Salons, we're able to recycle up to 95% of the waste generated during salon services, including foils, color tubes, and more.

Mazey, our head of the sustainability department, ensures that every item is disposed of responsibly. From overseeing our recycling processes to finding new ways to reduce waste, Mazey plays a crucial role in maintaining our green practices.

To further our commitment to reducing waste, we use the VISH color weighing system. This innovative technology allows us to measure hair color with precision, minimizing waste and ensuring that only the necessary amount of product is used.
